Hey guys, Dan Thomas from Image Doctor and and watch the video above or read the article below to learn some good questions to ask at the end of job interviews.

You will be asked many important questions  throughout a job interview, and one of the most important questions to answer is often the very last question you will be asked.

The very last question of the interview is often something like:

  • Do you have any questions for me
  • Is there anything you would like to know
  • Is there anything I haven’t covered that you wanted to discuss

If you don’t respond with any questions at all, you will run the risk of seeming unprepared, disinterested and as though you haven’t performed any of your own independent research regarding the job or company which often uncovers some questions you would like clarified.

So today we are taking a look at some examples of good questions to ask at the end of job interviews to ensure you leave a strong impression on the interviewer and increasing your chances of being chosen as the successful candidate.

Below is a list of questions that I believe will serve you well at the end of a job interview. The questions can be used as more of a general guide and the exact wording of any questions you feel will be appropriate for your interview can be adjusted accordingly to suit your particular industry and profession.

  • Did someone hold this position previously and why are they moving on?

  • Has this position come about through a staff member moving on or company growth?

  • What do you believe are the common traits and qualities shared by the most successful staff you manage in this company?

  • How would you describe the culture of the company?

  • How is success and progress measured in this role?

  • Is there anything you noticed in my resume or during our interview today that you feel can be corrected or developed?

  • Has the company expanded over the past 5 years and how would you predict the companies growth over the next 5 years?

  • What are the biggest challenges in this role?

  • If I were successful in getting this role, what’s the one thing I could achieve in the first 6 months that would make the strongest impact?

  • Who are the companies leading competitors and why?

  • What do you believe are the competitive advantages this company has over it’s competitors?

  • What are some of the soft skills you believe are complimentary to the harder skills required in this role?

  • From what we’ve discussed, what do you think are the professional areas that I would need to work the hardest at to get up to speed for this role?

  • Can you give me an example of when a current staff member exceeded your expectations?

  • Can you describe the path of progression that this role may present?

So make sure that you refer back to this list of good questions to ask at the end of job interviews to ensure that the interview ends on a strong note and you have increased your chances of taking the next step in your career.
