MEN’S STYLE TIP: REPLACE CHEAP BUTTONS

Hey guys, Dan Thomas from Image Doctor and Improvemant.com and watch the video above or read the article below to learn a simple but effective MEN’S STYLE TIP.

When it comes to cheaper, lower quality clothing, the cut and style of the fabric and the way it looks may not always be that visible to the naked eye, but one of the clearest indications of good or bad quality is often the buttons that are found on that garment.

Cheaply manufactured clothing will almost always have very plain, flimsy looking buttons and whilst they are only taking up a relatively small section of the whole garment, cheap looking buttons can be very damaging to how good that item looks overall.

CHARACTERISTICS OF CHEAP BUTTONS

  • PLASTIC
  • PLAIN WITH NO TEXTURE
  • VERY SHINY
  • VERY THIN AND FLIMSY
  • NOT SEWN TIGHTLY ONTO CLOTHING

CHARACTERISTICS OF BETTER QUALITY BUTTONS

  • MADE FROM HORN INSTEAD OF PLASTIC
  • MORE DETAILS AND PATTERN
  • ARE THICKER IN STRUCTURE
  • A MATTE FINISH AS OPPOSED TO VERY SHINY

REPLACE CHEAP BUTTONS TO ELEVATE APPEARANCE

If you can’t afford to buy clothing that’s of the best quality, you can improve the look of those items by simply replacing the original buttons with better quality buttons.

Whilst this may seem like a small addition to the garment, you may be very pleasantly surprised at the difference this makes to the appearance of that item and the overall first impressions you make.

It’s also a cost effective strategy when you can’t afford to buy higher end items because decent quality buttons are not going to cost a fortune, but they really do make a nice difference in appearance.

So take the time to have a look at the items in your wardrobe that have buttons and see what you think could be improved with better quality buttons and update all those items.
